The government will impose a contract on junior doctors across England, Jeremy Hunt, the health secretary, has told MPs.

The move comes after junior doctors voted against the government contracts.

Members of the British Medical Association (BMA) rejected the contracts in a vote on Tuesday.

Mr Hunt called the result of the vote "extremely disappointing".
