A teacher has penned a heartwarming note to one of her students to remind him that tests "only measure a little bit of you and your abilities".
Ben Twist, 11, who has autisim, was given the letter after he completed his SATS exams.
The letter lists ten of his talents including his kindness, independence and artistic and musical abilities.
His mother Gail, from Liverpool, said the letter left her in tears.
She shared the letter on Twitter on Saturday, and it has since been retweeted more than 2,000 times.
Ben was diagnosed with autism at the age of five and switched from a mainstream school to Lansbury Bridge School last year.
The school teaches children with a range of needs including autism and physical disabilities.
Mother-of-three Gail told the Liverpool Echo sitting the exams was a huge achievement for Ben.
Gail told the newspaper: “Ben worked so hard and sitting the tests was a massive achievement.
"We knew the results were coming but to get a letter like that – I got part way through it and I burst into tears."
Deputy Leader of the Labour party Tom Watson said the headteacher was "a credit to the teaching profession".
