Relley C has become the third act to be booted off the X Factor.
The Birmingham singer's dream ended when she lost out to girl group Four of Diamonds in Sunday's sing-off.
It is the second time the 26-year-old has got the chop after making it to the judges' houses in 2013.
But she said she has no regrets about taking her shot at pop stardom again.
"There was a time when I was like, you know what, I might just give up on music altogether, and I'm so glad I didn't because it brought me here.
"But I'm just happy that I experienced it," she said.
Relley found herself in the bottom two after Saturday night's Diva show, where she gave a powerful rendition of Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin.
Earlier in the week, she had been put on vocal rest and struggled to sing for chart star John Legend, who offered master-classes to all the contestants ahead of his performance on the live show on Sunday.
In the sing-off, Relley sang Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me while Four of Diamonds tackled Who Are You by Fifth Harmony.
Judges Sharon Osbourne, who mentors the over 25s, and Louis Walsh, who has the groups, chose to save their own acts.
So it was down to former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger to send Relley home.
Relley struggled to contain her tears as she watched footage of her X Factor journey, but mentor Osbourne insisted it would not be the last the public hear of the singer, saying she is "a fighter".
