A 32-year-old man has been arrested at Birmingham Airport on suspicion of funding terrorism.

The man, from Coventry, was arrested after he flew into the UK on Thursday morning.

West Midlands Police said the arrest was part of a continuing investigation into the financing of terrorism and was intelligence-led.

They added there was no risk to other travellers at the airport, or to the wider public, in relation to the arrest.
