Cruz Beckham, son of former footballer David, has released his debut Christmas single - aged 11.

Victoria Beckham's youngest son had his track "If Every Day Was Christmas" premiered on Capital FM on Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, a tweet from Cruz's official Twitter account told fans of the upcoming release, while an Instagram post teased that followers should expect something "exciting".

David was quick to praise his son's efforts, the proceeds of which will go to Global’s Make Some Noise charity.

Posting a picture of Cruz in his school uniform, David wrote on Instagram: "Not his average morning before school.

"Proud of my little man with his new Christmas single and also helping children around the UK with the proceeds from this".

Cruz has received praise before for his cover of a variety of hits, posted to the internet.

His version of Twista's 2005 rap single Hope, featuring Faith Evans, drew the praise of his parents and thousands of "likes" online.
