Premier League team news: Burnley v Manchester United

Burnley are waiting on the outcome of Joey Barton's Football Association hearing on Friday ahead of Manchester United's visit to Turf Moor two days later.

The midfielder is appearing before a commission in relation to alleged betting offences and could be handed a suspension - though there is no direct precedent - and any ban would mean he would have to come out of the Clarets' matchday squad.

Sam Vokes (hamstring) and Scott Arfield (knee) are both doubts but Johann Berg Gudmundsson (knee) could come back into the squad.

Provisional squad: Heaton, Robinson, Pope, Lowton, Keane, Mee, Long, Ward, Darikwa, Tarkowski, Brady, Barton, Flanagan, Defour, Boyd, Hendrick, Westwood, Arfield, Gudmundsson, Vokes, Gray, Agyei, Barnes.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo are set to miss Manchester United's return to Premier League action at Burnley.

Jose Mourinho fears the worse after the pair were forced off against Anderlecht, with Ibrahimovic landing awkwardly after defender Rojo was taken off on a stretcher with an apparent knee issue of his own.

Chris Smalling (knee), Phil Jones (foot) and Juan Mata (groin) remain absent for the trip to Turf Moor, where David De Gea looks set to replace Sergio Romero in goal.

Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Pereira, Valencia, Blind, Darmian, Shaw, Tuanzebe, Fosu-Mensah, Bailly, Mkhitaryan, Carrick, Herrera, Young, Lingard, Pogba, Fellaini, Martial, Rooney, Rashford.
