Family miraculously escape before electric scooter explodes while charging in living room

A video has emerged showing a family miraculously escaping from their living room in Beijing before an electric scooter exploded.

Smoke started to billow as the electric scooter was charging – the father can be seen trying to disconnect the charger but as the smoke rapidly increased, he escaped with his child.

Seconds later, the scooter exploded.
