Hundreds of 2,500-year-old Roman coins discovered during construction work in Italy
Roman coins around 2,500 years old were unearthed in Italy whilst builders were carrying out construction work.
Around 300 of the coins, dated to 474 BC, were discovered in a well-preserved jug last Wednesday and the first of the items have now gone on display.
Construction crews were digging in the historic centre of Como when they made the discovery.
