A dry day with spells of sunshine after a frosty start

After a frosty start, much of the country will have a dry day with spells of sunshine.

Thicker cloud and patchy light rain will spread eastwards to affect Northern Ireland and western Scotland through the day.

Showers will also continue to affect some eastern fringes as well.

It will be a cold day for many but it will turn milder in the far west, with a high of 11 Celsius (52F).
