Fog will leave sunshine and showers on relatively warm Sunday

Any early fog patches in the east will clear to leave a mostly dry start with some sunshine.

However, a weakening band of rain will move east from western Scotland and Northern Ireland into other western and some central areas as the day unfolds, accompanied by strong winds.

Brighter skies will develop in the northwest later along with blustery showers.
