"One day you’re going to get caught with your pants down… and today was that man’s day."
Senior constable Matt Brown detailed an unusual arrest as a man was sensationally caught Down Under in a compromising position.
Officers in Adelaide were called to the unusual sight in the district of Findon just before 3am after reports of someone smashing windows at a house under construction.
The Australian officers had no trouble locating the suspect who, in a bid to flee the area, had landed himself in an unforgettable fixed position.
"They lost sight of him, but soon found him dangling upside down from a six-foot fence by his underwear, after he became caught while trying to jump the fence," Mr Brown, of South Australia Police, told ABC Radio Adelaide.
The 23-year-old was arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises, breach of bail, and carrying an offensive weapon after a knife was found in his pocket.
The man was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
Investigations into the property damage are ongoing.
