Weather: Early fog will clear to reveal another sunny day but clouds could linger in the north

Any early fog patches, especially in the south, will soon clear to leave another fine and sunny day for most - a stark contrast to this time last year.

There may be some lingering mist and low cloud around southern coasts, possibly affecting some western coastal areas later in the day.

It will be a cloudier day in the far north, with some patchy light rain for Shetland.

It will be another exceptionally mild day and feeling warm in the afternoon sunshine, with a top temperature of 20 Celsius (68 F).

That's nothing compared to February 27, 2018, when temperatures were as low as 0 Celsius in the south east.
