A number of chickens have been killed and some pigs injured after an arson attack at allotments in Somersham, Cambridgeshire.

Sheds were also destroyed in the attack, which happened at King Street allotments off Bishops Road in the early hours of March 29.

A group of allotment holders are now offering a £500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

“As a community we are simply not prepared to put up with this sort of crime. We are prepared to do anything we can do to help bring those responsible to justice.”
