The education secretary Michael Gove is visiting two schools in Harlow in Essex today.

The Conservative MP will officially open the Passmores Academy as well as planting a tree at the Holy Cross School to mark the Queen's Jubilee.

Robert Halfon, MP for Harlow, said: "I am delighted to be able to welcome the Secretary of State for Education to Harlow and to have the opportunity to show him two outstanding education establishments."

Official opening party of the school will also include Councillor Kay Twitchen OBE, Chairman Elect of Essex County Council, and Councillor Stephen Castle, Essex County Councillor for Education and the 2012 Games.
