Mid Bedfordshire MP Nadine Dorries has arrived back in Britain after her appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

The backbench MP has been heavily criticised for travelling to Australia to take part in the show while the Commons was sitting.

Tory Chief Whip Sir George Young has suspended the party whip, and summoned her for a meeting to explain her actions.

Ms Dorries, who was the first contestant voted off the programme, had initially been expected to stay in Australia until December.

Speaking to reporters at the airport, Ms Dorries declared she would "do it all again" but said:

"I'm angry at what they've been writing in the press." "I've only taken three parliamentary days off. The whip has not been withdrawn, it's incorrect."
