Greater Anglia have apologised for the delays that have disrupted services today

"Due to earlier problems with the overhead power lines in the Cambridge area and a broken down train at Chelmsford, our train services have been subject to delays, alterations and cancellations this morning. We have worked with Network Rail to restore the normal service as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused."

The company added that any customers delayed by half an hour or more are entitled to some compensation. Customers may obtain a 'delay repay' form from staffed Greater Anglia stations,from the company's website or from our customer contact centre.
