Householders across the region have been clearing up again today after more storms and flash floods. Yesterday was the wettest day of June.
Among the worst hit places was Sudbury in Suffolk where more than twenty homes were left badly damaged after being swamped with water.
Edward Pilbury has lived in the same house for twenty years. He said
"There was so much water coming down the road you couldn't stop it. It just came into the house and wet my room and my settee. All the bedding had to be washed as I sleep downstairs... 8 people were here helping me to try and get the water out. They were bucketing it all out of the house.
