MK Dons boss Robinson: "Hopefully Man Utd thrashing shows we're going places"

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson says that his side's historic 4-0 win over Manchester United shows the potential of the club.

The Dons put in a breathtaking performance to blow away their illustrious Premier League opponents and book their place in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

On loan strikers Will Grigg and Benik Afobe both scored twice to thrill the majority of the 27,000 fans packed into stadium:mk.

Today just cements it for me that I've got a really good side."

United boss Louis van Gaal also complimented Robinson's team on their showing, saying that MK Dons "played very well" but that they had a "bit of luck with the goals."
