A seal that was being cared for at a wildlife centre in West Norfolk after it was found stranded in a field in Merseyside, has died.

Staff at the East Winch Centre near King's Lynn were treating the grey seal for pneumonia, and named it 'Dumbledore' after the Harry Potter character.

The seal was found 20 miles inland at a farm in Newton-le-Willows near St Helens.

Staff had been working hard to restore the animal back to full health, but he died on Saturday night (17 January).
