Maddy braves the shave

A ten year old girl from Leigh on Sea in Essex has shaved her head to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Maddy Crawford took part in the charity's Brave the Shave campaign this weekend - her mum Sarah also had her head shaved to show support.

The initiative is running throughout August to raise money and awareness about the difficulties cancer sufferers face, such as hair loss caused by treating the disease.
