The woman who wears terrifying masks in the fields of Cambridgeshire: all in the name of science
A Cambridge University academic has used rubber masks to study whether jackdaws can recognise faces.
Dr Gabrielle Davidson wore a mask while checking the chicks at a series of bird boxes in Madingley near Cambridge.
And she found that the parent birds then identified that face as a potential predator - and would then warn her off with a squawk.
