A video clip of a Northampton man attempting to run up a wall during a fitness endurance event has been viewed by thousands of people around the world.

Edd Messenger, who's 30, managed to complete the 12-and-a-half mile Tough Mudder course at Boughton House in Kettering in May last year.

But his sticky moment on the wall was captured by a friend, and the seven second video showing him sliding down has been a hit on websites around the world.

Mr Messenger is now hoping the video will provide some publicity for Prevention of Young Suicide (PAPYRUS), a charity dedicated to preventing young people from committing suicide.

He was inspired to raise money for the charity because the younger brother of his close friend committed suicide.
