Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy says Man Utd deserved to win after their cup clash but still insisted he was pleased with his team.

Nearly 5,000 Town fans travelled to Old Trafford for their big Capital One cup tie but returned after watching a 3-0 defeat.

The blues haven't won away at Manchester United in more than thirty years.
