CCTV shows the dog being viciously abused by a man.

The unknown hooded man hung the dog by his lead and then swung him against the wall of the train.

The dog was then placed on the seat and pushed against the seat by the man's foot.

This was an unbelievably shocking act of cruelty. No animal should ever be subjected to such punishment and I am determined to trace the man responsible.

Clearly this animal was frightened for its life as he emptied his bowls on the seat and train carriage.

– nvestigating officer Police Sergeant Paul Thompson, BTP

Officers British Transport Police (BTP) are urging anyone who has any information on the dog involved to come forward.
