Cycling enthusiasts and rugby fans are joining forces to raise money for local charities by cycling over 320 miles and visiting every rugby club in Norfolk along the way.

The three-day event ‘Club Together 2017’ will see half the money raised going to the children’s rugby charity Wooden Spoon, the rest will go to charities chosen by the rugby clubs.

Over 50 riders have already signed up for the event, which will be held in September.

Organiser Mark Loveday said

Last year we cycled from London to Paris, one of the beneficiaries was Nelson’s Journey.

Wooden Spoon is the anchor charity and likely to receive around 50 per cent of the funds for projects here in Norfolk and the rest will be divided between half a dozen local community charities.
