Northamptonshire rail depot offer condolences over 11-year-old death

The Northamptonshire rail depot where an 11-year-old boy died has offered its heartfelt sympathies to his family.

The boy suffered serious electrical burns at the Daventry International Rail Freight Depot shortly after 5pm on Tuesday afternoon.

Paramedics, including the air ambulance, were all sent to the scene but he couldn't be saved.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained and an extensive investigation is now underway.

The depot is working closely with police and Network Rail to establish the full cause of the incident.
