A new study says Cambridge is the fastest growing city economy in Britain, and it is likely to stay that way for a decade.
The Centre for Economics and Business Research said financial output there rose 2.9% in the last quarter.
The report said it ‘drew its strength’ from a highly skilled workforce, staffing highly productive industries including advanced engineering, design and pharmaceuticals.
It also revealed that 80% of the city's start-ups are still in business after three years.
Earlier this year, business and financial advisers Grant Thornton also placed Cambridge as the most vibrant place to live and work in the UK.
