Families from Bedfordshire and Essex have described their ordeal after getting trapped in a viewing tower in Dorset for more than seven hours.

Fourteen people had to be rescued by helicopter from Jurassic Skyline in Weymouth after the attraction's capsule broke.

The operator of the tower said it had suffered a mechanical failure.

A family of eight from Dunstable and a couple from Essex were among those winched to safety yesterday evening.
