The first section of the new northern bypass for Norwich has opened to traffic.
Nearly four miles of the Northern Distributor Road linking the Fakenham and Cromer Roads opened at 6am.
The section linking the A1067 Fakenham Road to the A140 Cromer Road is opening 4 months ahead of schedule.
This section of the route includes roundabouts at Fir Covert Road, Reepham Road and Drayton Lane, and signs are up to warn drivers to expect heavy traffic on the NDR.
The rest of the road is due to open in March.
