He found the net from inside his own half - now Luton Town midfielder Olly Lee's has won the EFL's League Two Goal of the Month award for November following his amazing strike against Cambridge United.

That makes it a Hatters double for November, with Nathan Jones winning the EFL's League Two Manager of the Month.

Lee's goal was the second in their 7-0 thrashing of Cambridge at Kenilworth Road on November 18th.

The 26 year old was more than fifty yards away from goal when he spotted United's David Forde off his line, and sent Hatters fans into raptures.

Olly's younger brother Elliot scored twice on the day as Luton hit seven or more goals for the third time this season.

"It's nice to get a bit of personal recognition but obviously the main thing is the team doing well and hopefully we can stay on top of the league.

"I just nicked the ball in midfield and looked up and saw the keeper off his line and thought 'Why not'.

"It was just instinct really. I saw the keep and it felt like he was closer to me than the goal and so I thought I'd give it a go and thankfully it went in."
