Family pay tribute to 'doting big brother' killed in Boxing Day crash

Tributes have been paid to a teenager who was killed in a two-car crash near Bury St Edmunds on Boxing Day.

A Ford Fiesta and a Vauxhall Corsa were involved in the collision on the A14 eastbound at Rougham at around 9.30pm.

William Smedley, who was 18 and a passenger in the Fiesta, died at the scene.

His family said he was a "caring son, loving grandson, doting big brother, a loyal, kind, generous beautiful young man gone but never ever forgotten."

Another 18-year-old man, Jake Paxton, who was also a passenger in the same car as Mr Smedley died in hospital.

A third man was also taken to hospital, but his injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening.

A 19-year-old woman who was driving the other car wasn't hurt.
