Actors Nigel Havers, Denis Lawson and Stephen Tompkinson have been talking to ITV News Anglia about the hit stage comedy 'Art'.
As Nigel quipped: "That's the great thing about this play that it's very, very funny and it's beautifully written and you're in the pub before nine!"
- The trio dropped into the ITV News Anglia studio to talk to Jonathan Wills and Becky Jago
'Art' is about Serge spending an extortionate amount of money on an all-white modernist painting. It leaves his close friends Marc and Yvan baffled. But does their violent reactions to this provocative canvas mirror more dangerous antagonisms towards each other?
The award-winning play by Yasmina Reza has been described as a "masterpiece, a dazzling study of friendship, prejudice and tolerance."
The French-language play first premiered in Paris in 1994 and was translated to English two years later. It has been successful in the West End and on Broadway and has been running worldwide for more than 20 years.
'Art' is on at the Theatre Royal in Norwich until 28 April 2018 and at Northampton Royal & Derngate from 14 to 19 May 2018.
