Fakes worth £100,000 seized at Cambridgeshire market

Fake goods were found at Bourn Market Credit: Cambridgeshire County Council

Fake goods worth £100,000 were seized at Bourn Market on Bank Holiday Monday (May 7).

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Trading Standards Service found fake designer clothes, Apple chargers and Pokémon toys.

They were joined by Cambridgeshire police and found enough goods, including unsafe toys, to fill a 10ft container.

They were found in vehicles arriving at the market and during additional searches of the market.

"This should serve as a warning to people that we won’t tolerate this kind of illegal trading in our county”.
