A coroner has said she believes a homeless man found dead in a Norwich subway could have died from a fall, despite the police initially launching a murder investigation.

29-year-old Sergiusz Meges died in June 2015.

Police launched a murder investigation and arrested two men, but the Crown Prosecution decided not to press charges.

Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake said she wasn't convinced Mr Meges died from an assault.

She said he was a chronic alcoholic and could have died after suffering a fall.

The police say their investigation remains open and they urge anyone who knows anything about his death to come forward.
