He's known and loved across the world for his performances on screen - but Sir John's Hurt's artistic talents extended far beyond his films.
He won fame for his performances in hits like The Elephant Man, Alien and Harry Potter.
But Sir John was also a hugely talented artist - a passion he had pursued since his studies.
Now, more than a year after his death, an exhibition of his paintings is being held as part of Norfolk's Holt Festival.
It will be the first chance to see Sir John's artwork with most of the paintings loaned by his wife, Anwen.
Lady Hurt said he took his painting "every bit as seriously as he took his acting career".
Sir John lived in Norfolk until his death in 2017.
