A Corby firefighter who was injured during a hit-and-run while on duty is "recovering well"
Mark Hackett, a father-of-three, was returning from fighting a fire when he and a pedestrian were struck by the car on August 11.
The car was later found abandoned in Studfall Avenue.
Doctors had said it could take up to a year for him to return to work.
Mereway Fire and Rescue Station tweeted the 32-year-old is "recovering well in hospital".
