Katie was 29 years old when she died and had been diagnosed with bowel cancer only five weeks before she got married.
Since her death Will hasn't stopped running - doing marathon and half-marathons for charity even though he has an injured leg.
He has raised more than £3,000 for the Farleigh Hospital in Chelmsford where Katie died. He also also raised £10,000 for bowel cancer research.
Will wasn't a runner until tragedy struck.
He plans to run the London Marathon again in 2019 and says he has one mission"just to keep trying to give something back."
"It has been a great way for me to deal with things and stay as positive as possible."
Will Arnold is one of four contenders from the east of the ITV News Anglia region shortlisted for the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards. One will be selected to represent the region.
