Cambridgeshire primary school welcomes Hollywood actor

The actor Warwick Davis may have featured in blockbuster films such as Star Wars and Harry Potter, but now he's played a starring role in a school assembly.

The actor from Peterborough was invited to The Rackham Primary School in Witchford near Ely to talk about Dwarfism as part of his role as patron of the charity 'Little People UK'.

He also met four year old Abigail Custins who is reception class. She's the only one her family and the school with the condition.

After the assembly in which Warwick told the children about his career in film and television, he read stories to the children in reception class.

"We want people to be aware of her condition and how to support her but also recognise that she is just another little girl going to school and enjoying the things that she wants to get on with. I think it is important that Abi doesn't feel different and that we are all the same."

Teachers at the school have spent the week raising money for Little People UK by taking it in turns to cycle in the playground.
