Stars of ITV's Love Island are taking part in a new campaign to encourage more young people to give blood.

They are aiming to take the fear out of donating and dispel some of the myths about blood donation.

New NHS research shows that 81% of 18 to 24-year-olds have never donated blood - with 35% of them admitting they are scared of the process.

ITV News Anglia's Victoria Lampard spoke to Alex George - an accident and emergency doctor and one of this year's Love Island contestants - about his involvement.
