'Fun-loving' man who wanted to teach killed in crash

Tributes have been paid to a "fun-loving" man from Luton who died in a crash on Sunday 18 November.

Michael McMahon, 28, was a passenger in a BMW which hit roadside trees on the A1081 between Harpenden and Luton.

He had the world at his feet, with plans to start a new career in teaching after Christmas.

His family, who knew him as Mikey, said: "It is so sad to lose a life so young.

"Mikey was a much loved son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, uncle and stepson.

"He was a vibrant, fun-loving character with a great sense of humour.

"He had the world at his feet, with plans to start a new career in teaching after Christmas.

"Mikey will never be forgotten and will always remain in our hearts. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Bedfordshire Police on 101.

Police are especially keen to hear from drivers who may have dash-cam footage of the area at the time.
