The East of England Ambulance Service is preparing for winter by investing £2.6 million in front-line services.

The trust has said the money will go towards more shifts which crew can volunteer for- meaning more ambulances on the road.

In a briefing, the Interim Chief Executive Dorothy Hosein also said they had been talking to hospitals to improve turnaround times for ambulances at accident and emergency departments.
