The mini maestro who took up the organ just a year ago

When James Addison got up from behind the organ at St Nicholas Church in North Walsham the congregation could not believe their eyes.

There were gasps and a secret bit of, how can he be so good at that age.

At just 12-years-old James is playing pieces even the professionals would not attempt.

A young musical maestro, James only started playing the organ one year ago.

He practices at St Nicholas Church in North Walsham and has now earned a regular slot once a month.

James has only been playing the piano for a year.

James actually bailed us out. We are looking for a new organist at present and we were absolutely stuck for midnight and Christmas Day and a quick phone call to mum and yes he was free. We dug him out from hiding behind the organ and the congregation when they saw him, couldn't believe how somebody that small could play so incredible well.

There really is no limit to his talents. As well as playing the organ, piano and violin, James has just started to write his own music too.

Elaine Addison, James' mum said she feels like the luckiest person: "I get to hear him practicing everyday and that is a gift for me and for anyone that comes in to listen to him."

James is so good people even stop in the streets to listen.

Asked whether he thinks he has a special talent, James said: "No I don't think so, anyone can learn an instrument, it is never too late."

He may not believe it but James is without doubt one to watch.
