Fiona Onasanya is representing Peterborough from prison. She is serving a three month sentence for perverting the course of justice
Onasanya was jailed after lying about who was driving her car when it was caught speeding in Thorney.
She was suspended by the Labour party but has refused to give up her position or her salary.
Lord Kenneth Montgomery-Moore, a demonstrator, said: “Resign. Resign so we can move on and get somebody to represent this city.
“Fiona has made it public that this is her only means of income and £78,000 a year and she couldn’t pay a speeding ticket? That’s a problem.
"The courts saw that she was guilty and she’s in prison for it, very lenient, but she’s not entitled to continue her role as an MP or an independent MP for us.”
Onasanya is appealing her conviction.
