The Royal Mail has announced that, from today, Cambridge's postal service will be trying out electric bikes.
Cambridge is one of three UK locations where zero emission 'e-Trikes' will be trialed.
Royal Mail has used various forms of transport over it's 500-year history, but these green bikes are a first.
The vehicles are powered by a combination of pedal and battery power, and are linked to a 250W electric motor. They can be used on roads, highways and some cycle paths.
The trials will last for approximately six months in Cambridge, Sutton Coldfield and Stratford, London.
