A memorial plaque has been unveiled in Peterborough - in honour of a firefighter who died when a van carrying fireworks exploded in the city - exactly 30 years ago today.

Fireman John Humphries had been sent to tackle a fire in the van - and died when he was hit by debris from the explosion. The 'red plaque' tribute has been placed in the city's Bishop's Road Gardens.
