Firefighters in Cambridgeshire managed to rescue a cow which was stuck in deep mud by a river bank in Thorney near Peterborough.

It took crews around three hours to winch the cow free on Sunday.

Specialist teams had to call on the help of a local farmer and his teleporter farm machinery to hoist the animal from the mud.
