Churches and cathedrals across the East of England will ring their bells in solidarity with Notre Dame today (Thursday 18).
Norwich Cathedral and St John the Baptist Cathedral, also in Norwich, will ring their bells in the run up to a 7pm service.
Bells at Ely Cathedral and Peterborough Cathedral will also toll at 7pm.
The French cathedral caught fire on Monday evening, and was not fully extinguished until around 15 hours later. Most of Notre Dame's roof was destroyed, as was the cathedral's iconic spire.
The Prime Minister has said that experts from Historic England could provide assistance after President Macron vowed to rebuild the stricken holy site.
