They're used to saving those in peril on the sea - but a lifeboat crew were co-opted into helping out a fellow branch of the emergency services.

When a grass fire broke out on a beach in Overstrand, near Cromer in Norfolk, the firefighters needed a little extra help in getting to tackle the fire.

So they had to enlist the help of the local lifeboat crew to help transport some of their kit.

Around 50 sq metres of gorse had been on fire - it was swiftly put out with back pack sprayers and beaters and a light portable pump.
