A Sunday League football team from Essex has celebrated winning the league and cup double by holding its own open top bus parade.

Duckpond FC were crowned champions of the Colchester and District Sunday League after losing only one game all season, and also lifted the Fowler Memorial Cup.

To mark their achievement, they hired a double decker bus and made their through the streets of Harwich on Saturday.

During the tour, players paraded the league trophy and waved club scarfs.

They even had a special banner printed for the front of the bus with the words: 'We conquered all of Essex, we're never gonna stop. Allez, Allez, Allez', in tribute to Liverpool's famous European song.

The players certainly enjoyed their day out. Credit: Duckpond FC

It's not the first time that the club have held such a grand celebration.

They did the same thing in 2014 when they again organised an open top bus parade as aswell as a flypast banner.
