Health Secretary Matt Hancock heard an environmental plea with a difference in Suffolk on Friday - when he was sung to in pidgin English.
Nigel Hughes, co-founder of the Green Light Trust, delivered the melodic message to the West Suffolk MP at the charity's headquarters at Lawshall, near Bury St Edmunds.
The song from Papua New Guinea laments the destruction of the rainforest.
It translates as: "Oh Mother Earth I am crying for you. They are breaking the forest, they are breaking you."
The Green Light Trust was founded 30 years ago. It has created more than 60 new areas of community owned woodland where it works with people with mental health challenges.
